Throw away your assumptions, grab a gun, and suit up to start covering up corporate secrets. Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is set to release on March 20th, 2012 according to the latest announcement from Capcom. PC gamers will have to wait yet again, as the initial launch date covers only the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Along with the release date, Capcom also gave a brief run down of the contents in the Special Edition for gamers willing to drop the big bucks on RE‘s foray into the co-op shooter genre. Special Editions of the game will contain a “Steelbook with exclusive art,” an “Umbrella Security Service” patch, a styled foil sleeve (for the game box, we’re assuming), a “Spec Ops Field Unit” patch, and eight bonus weapons. Pre-ordering at any major retailer like GameStop, BestBuy, or Amazon will give you bonus outfits for each playable character.
