Nintendo’s tentpole franchise, Legend of Zelda, is getting ready to make a return appearance on the Wii after being in the shadows for the last few years, and we have a couple of new trailers to show off a few new areas in the game. These new trailers feature the Lanayru Desert and a Mining facility in that desert.
One of the new features that we get to see in these new trailers is the grappling hook that will allow you to travel areas that might be a bit too dangerous to convey across by foot. The grapple mechanic seems fluid enough and could be a cool travel mechanic from the looks of the video. We also get to see some large enemies, and I like the way that you have to do battle in some confined spaces.
My knowledge of the Zelda franchise is limited, but from talking to many Zelda fans and one person who is reviewing the title right now, it seems that what we have so far is shaping up to be a great entry in the Legend of Zelda franchise and a nice way to ring in 25 years of Zelda.
Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is set to arrive on November 20th, 2011 exclusively for the Nintendo Wii from Nintendo.
