Sometimes, I am completely caught off guard by new titles that I knew were coming, but I had not paid enough attention to know what the game is about. This tends to happen during periods like Winter, as we are normally under a tidal wave of releases. One of those titles is WakFu, a new MMORPG title that is coming from Square Enix. The game changes things up from a normal MMORPG with the inclusion of a rather cool governing mechanic that I have not witnessed in an MMORPG title. Player characters are actually elected as governor for one of the five regions and guide those areas to prosperity or ruin with their leadership decisions.
We also received a new trailer for the governor mechanic as well as an elongated trailer that talks up the launch date and the characters that you can play as in the final release for WakFu. Check out all the trailers below. WakFu is coming to PC in February 2012 from Square Enix.
