When Dead Rising 2 OFf the Record came out, I was a bit on the fence to buy it. Part of me wanted it, because I enjoy the character Frank West. This would bring him into the Dead Rising 2 story and it would bring back the art of photography to the series. But the story was very similar to the one I had already played through in the original Dead Rising 2, so I had no real reason to pick it up.
Now, Capcom has released the DLC pack that has put this game on my map, and that would be the Gamebreaker DLC pack. With this new pack, you can tweak the game to your liking, with all kinds of game breaking cheats. While you get simple things like Big Head or Big Hands modes, you can also put post-processing filters on the visuals, or manipulate the time mechanic of the game. Or you can enable bodybuilder mode and watch Frank grow into a steroided freak of nature as he uses his weapons and fists. Everything can be tweaked and turned to give you that off the wall experience that you want from a sandbox game.
Capcom has also added another DLC pack today, but it does not add as much zaniness as the first one. The Firefighter DLC pack adds a new Firefighter costume, complete with moustache, and eliminates fire damage to Frank, gives you a new fire axe that has a high damage resistance and some other cool little tweaks.
