With news of a profit loss in the past quarter, it might not come as a surprise that Take Two announced the delay for XCOM earlier today.
In hindsight, it was probably a smart move, as XCOM was originally announced to launch on March 6th 2012, the very same day as Mass Effect 3. That could’ve been potentially disastrous for Take Two.
Now, the company is announcing that XCOM will ship during the 2013 fiscal year, which begins on April 1st 2012 and ends on March 31st 2013. No further details have been provided for why the delay has occurred.
