Xbox Live’s newest dashboard duds will be going Kinect heavy, and all users will get access to it beginning December 6th. Major Nelson confirmed the launch date earlier today, stating that the dashboard preview program has helped ready the big update.
The new interface will feature voice and motion control, as well as some integration from Bing, Microsoft’s own search engine. Also new will be the Beacons feature, which will allow users to tag and share items and games with people.
Like your achievements and like to fly them in the face of your friends? The update will also have social network integration, including the ability to post your achievements to Facebook. Other apps, such as the new Xbox TV streaming program, will be introduced as well.
The sweetest feature being added is a cloud save feature, available to Xbox Live Gold members. With cloud saving, you’ll no longer need to buy that extra transfer cable when moving save data from one Xbox to another.
