VGAs to be Hosted by “Chuck” Star Zachary Levi
Being a TV star, voice actor, and a gamer will land you cool invites, such as being the host to this year’s Video Game Awards. Zachary Levi, star of NBC’s “Chuck,” has done voice work in Fallout: New Vegas and Halo: Reach. He can go ahead and add this hosting gig to his growing resume. Airing on December 10th, this year’s award show is shaping up to be an epic battle between heavy-hitting triple-A titles for the Game of the Year crown.
“Zac Levi is an avid gamer who is truly a part of gaming culture and understands the fans,” said Casey Patterson, who is in charge of studio relations for Viacom Entertainment Group. “He has great ideas about this year’s show. Zac is all about honoring the year in gaming and ushering in the future by showcasing massive world premieres at this year’s event. We’re excited to be working with Zac.”
Earlier this month, we learned that massive announcements are in the works for this year’s awards show. A new Alan Wake title is rumored to be appearing alongside a new BioWare title, and a full reveal of Metal Gear Solid: RISING is expected as well.
Excited for this year’s show? We are. Portal 2 dominates with 12 nominations this year, and the battle for Game of the Year is a heated one between the two lovable robots, Batman, Link, the Dragonborn, and Nathan Drake.
