Now I could sit here and pontificate and prothletise about how great the original Tony Hawk Pro Skater titles were and how crappy they have become with the board peripheral that was created for the last two titles, but I won’t. All I will say is watch the trailer below and then come back to reading. Go ahead, I’ll wait.
Done? Okay. That is what Tony Hawk is all about. Watching that trip through the factory was a walk down memory lane with the trip through the factory level, bashing through the upper supports, and then keeping a grind going around the factory walls. This is the Tony Hawk that we have wanted. I love the Skate series, but sometimes I just want to do some crazy, defy the laws of gravity tricks that the original Tony Hawk series would allow.
This new Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD collection will take popular levels from the first and second games in the series and upres them to current gen specs. Looking at the trailer again, the graphical detail looks amazing and I cannot wait to get my hands on this when it releases.
Check out the trailer (again) below and wait for the greatness to come in 2012 from Activision for PS3 and Xbox 360. Hope it makes it to the PC as well as that was where I experienced this great series first back in the day.
