Deep Silver will be pleased to know this, as the global numbers for Dead Island now indicate that the zombie-pocalyptic title has sold 3 million units since its launch back in September.
Previously, the developing studio announced that the game shipped an astonishing 2 million copies worldwide during the entirety of September.
“Dead Island has sold very, very well over the holiday season and we are thrilled that it has sustained a robust level of sell-through since launch in September,” said Aubrey Norris, the Manager of Marketing and PR for Deep Silver.
While critics bemoan the fact that a single-player experience is anything but fun, this escape from paradise has proven that it’s best enjoyed with friends. Who wouldn’t want to spend their vacation in a sunny resort island with a nail bat, Molotov cocktails, and some target practice?
Dead Island is currently available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
