The artistic mystery game released in 1993 has since grown in popularity and has ported to numerous other platforms. With the Nintendo DS, PSP, and iOS systems seeing a version, you can add the Nintendo 3DS to that growing list.
Originally released in 1993 by developer Cyan, Myst was reincarnated for the PSP and the Nintendo DS by Hoplite Research, and now Hoplite is at it again, working on the 3DS port.
Maximum Family Games will be in charge of publishing Myst 3D, and the release date has been set for March 27, 2012. While Hoplite says that it’s the original PC relase that’s being reworked for the 3DS, the RIME Age is also being included as a bonus. RIME was a location added in the 2000 remake of the game realMyst, which created a 3D world around the static imagery presented in the original game.
