Don’t Be Scared of Fog: New Silent Hill HD Screens Materialize

In just a few short weeks, some of the scariest titles in Konami’s acclaimed Silent Hill series hop onto the HD Collection bandwagon. Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 are getting an aesthetic face lift, with additional side quests to boot.

Excited for a couple of gaming classics? You should be, as Silent Hill 2 has become a staple in the survival horror genre. Exploring taboo topics, exceptional use of psychological horror, and the introduction of some of the most memorable monsters and scary moments in gaming history, the title has since created a lasting legacy. Having it be ported to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 will make any horror junkie cry tears of joy. And possibly fear.

Coming along for the ride is Silent Hill 3, remastered as well. While some gamers might contend that it wasn’t as scary as its predecessor, the story of Heather Mason still packs plenty of scares.

Today, Konami released a small offering of screens from the upcoming Silent Hill HD Collection, depicting protagonists James Sunderland from Silent Hill 2 and Heather Mason from Silent Hill 3. Take a look:

Looking for a scare? You won’t have to wait long. Silent Hill HD Collection releases on January 24th for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
