A supposedly leaked newsletter spotted by the eagle-eyes of Disney site Stitch Kingdom has put meat on the bones of the Epic Mickey 2 rumours that circulated last year.
Confirming not only the speculated development of the sequel to 2010′s Epic Mickey, the newsletter goes on to disclose that this time, the follow-up to Warren Spector’s celebrated game will no longer be a Nintendo exclusive. However, despite detailing both PS3 and 360 availability and a new co-op campaign, there’s no confirmation yet whether the two-player game will be available for online party play.
The newsletter has since been mysteriously edited, and Disney have yet to comment either way. So until there’s official work, here’s the since-deleted newsletter in it’s entirety …

Disney Epic Mickey 2 is the latest game in the critically acclaimed Disney Epic Mickey videogame series. In this all-new action-platforming game available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii, Mickey embarks on an epic journey and is pulled back into a world filled with Disney’s forgotten characters.
Players can choose to play single-player as Mickey or for the first time players can also choose two-player split screen mode.
In the two-player mode one person can play as Mickey wielding magic paint and paint thinner to dynamically change the world and the second player can play as Oswald the Lucky Rabbit – Walt Disney’s first cartoon star – with the power to fly like a helicopter and use electricity to fight or friend enemies and solve challenges.
Team-up and choose your path to save this forgotten world because the choices you make will alter the story and change the end of the game!

Epic Mickey 2 will need a lot of work to make anyone want to play it. While the controls were fine, the camera was the death of that game. It singlehandedly ruined the game, and took down several game companies in the House of Mouse.
Okay, so the destitute and horrible Tron game helped with that affair, but Epic Mickey started things off. I would also think it should come to other platforms to take away a dependence on motion controls when they are not really needed.
Did I mention fixing the broke-ass camera?
