Square Enix released a new trailer that shows off the always lovable Moogle that will be found in Final Fantasy XIII-2. The Moogle will be used in several ways during actual gameplay, as he can help you with treasure hunting, unlocking treasure vaults that are located in unreachable locations and for bonuses or penalties in combat.
I like the idea of the last one, as you can get some high damage multipliers and other items if you hit the meter correctly, but miss it and you can really get hammered, like not being able to retry a battle if you lose.

I’ve not thought about those wee guys in years! How sweet! The first time one ran out of Lulu’s skirt in FF X I almose cried with squee-ness!!! The joy of watching him toddle up to some hideous creature and whack it with his stick! Yey!
