Check Out The Latest Season of the GSL!

18 Jan, 2012

The Global Starcraft II League has been revving up for 2012, and the current season is definitely the best yet!

Production values increased tremendously over last year’s GSL coverage, and if you’ve been bored with traditional sports or even other esports, I encourage you to check it out. You can watch the first games of many of the past GSL matches for free. Here’s an example: a match between the previous season’s champion Jjakji versus Taiwanese player Sen. As a non-Korean, Sen is considered a “foreigner” and is one of the best Zerg players on the planet. However, Jjakji is easily one of the best Terrans, especially versus Zerg.

In order to watch ALL the games in a match, you do have to purchase a ticket. An ad-supported ticket for the first GSL season of 2012 will run you $15 but gets you access to all of the VOD content, as well as the live streams that run at 4am EDT (9am GMT). However, as mentioned, you can always check out the first games of most of these matches and see if it’s something that’s for you.

If it is, there are always other, smaller tournaments going on, which you can usually read about here, or check out SC2casts.com which congregates some of the best SC2 games casted by some of the best commentators in the community.
