Final Fantasy XIII-2 Looks Into Time Travel a Bit More with a New Trailer

Final Fantasy XIII-2 is coming in just under two weeks and Square Enix is taking that time to explain a few more of the new elements that you will encounter in this new title. In the new video below, we get some more details on the time travel aspect of Final Fantasy XIII-2. We see more from the Historia Crux, how areas will look and change based on the time frame that you visit them in and how you will find pieces to unlock these time gates.

The idea of using time travel could open up some intersting combat scenarios in Final Fantasy XIII-2 if done right. Imagine if you could travel back in time and soften up defenses to make battles in the future easier. Or changing the environment in the past will make different battles occur. All of that is speculation on my part, but I would love to see something creative like that play into this time travel system.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 is coming from Square Enix on January 31st, 2012 for Xbox 360 and PS3.
