EA’s well received RPG Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning has managed to out-sell Final Fantasy XIII-2 during it’s first week of release – sales of the Final Fantasy title have dropped by more than 50% since its debut week, leaving it in second place. Our second new release, FPS The Darkness II, has come in at third, leaving Metal Gear Solid HD Collection and FIFA 12 in fourth and fifth respectively.
Mario & Sonic London 2012 Olympic Games has seen a large jump in sales thanks to its 3DS launch, and is now in tenth. Elsewhere the much acclaimed puzzler/horror Catherine could only manage a slightly disappointing twentieth place during its launch week.
