Mass Effect 3 day one DLC leaked – Spoilers ahead

Mass Effect 3 day one DLC leaked – Spoilers ahead

Just two short weeks ago we gave you news that day one DLC details had been let slip for Mass Effect 3. Now it seems this content has materialised on Xbox live. We now know that it’ll be called From Ashes – instead of From Dust as was originally reported (no more Ubisoft jokes I promise). This pack was confirmed later by BioWare as being the extra content to be included with the collectors edition of the game.

Now before I go any further I’m going to give you a warning: if you do not want to know anything about the content and possible spoilers, move on now.

I’m serious, everything from here down could be considered spoilers, this is your last chance to turn around.

For those of you still with us the meaty information, I’ll begin. From Ashes snuck on to the Xbox Live Marketplace the other day and revealed a brief description on what and who the pack will contain, here is that description:

“Unearth lost secrets from the past and recruit the Prothean squad member in Mass Effect 3: From Ashes.”

This is all quite vague on what the mission will be but at least we know that your new squad member will be a Prothean! Those in the know will remember that the Protheans were an ancient race thought to be long extinct. The Reapers however had turned them into the Collectors, the main enemies from Mass Effect 2. It appears now you’ll come accross an unconverted Prothean to join your squad if you pick up the collectors edition, or fork out 800 Microsoft points when the game launches.

Below you’ll see a couple of images relating to the DLC. First is the banner image for the content taken from Xbox.com and below that a possible look at the Prothean teammate taken from the Art of the Mass Effect Universe book.
