Bethesda developing for next gen consoles?

According to a recent job posting on Bethesda’s parent company site, ZeniMax, it appears they are working on some next gen software. The title of the job is ‘Future Generation Console Programmer’ and asks programming experience for Xbox 360 and PS3.

No other major details are mentioned on the site on what title this may be to develop for, so we can only speculate on what might be going on behind closed doors at the moment. This does however tell us that the future consoles could be in the hands of the developers already. Gamespot did ask for Bethesda for a clarification on this but it seems received a standard “no comment” response.

As I said we can only guess what this could be for now, though it’s probably safe to say they are looking into a new Fallout and Elder Scrolls for the future, could this be it? Or perhaps something else entirely? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
