Nintendo deploy Kid Icarus Battle Squads to the UK

Nintendo are teaming up with the UK high street entertainment specialist HMV to let Kid Icarus: Uprising fans test out their multiplayer skills. Kid Icarus Battle Squads will be making their way to HMV stores – beginning this weekend in London – to give fans the chance to win prizes.

You’ll get four opportunities between now and the end of May to take on these elite fighters for the chance to win a set of AR cards to use with the game. These cards will be incredibly sought after by fans of the game so you’ll need to get practising if you want to defeat Nintendo’s best.

However, if your skills aren’t completely up to scratch on the game then there are other ways to win prizes. If you want to win one of six £50 HMV vouchers all you need to do is take a picture of yourself with the squad and tweet it to @KidIcarusUK with the hashtag #KidIcarusBattleSquad on the day to be in with a chance.

The event will also be a great way to pick up street passes from other 3DS owners. Pictures from each of the events will also be uploaded to the Nintendo 3DS Facebook page right here. Grab your copy of Kid Icarus: Uprising and get practising now – check out the full set of dates below.

hmv Oxford Circus – Saturday 28th April
hmv Reading Oracle – Saturday 5th May
hmv Birmingham Bullring – Saturday 12th May
hmv Brighton Churchill – Saturday 19th May

All About Aarron Barker ...

Born in the seaside town of Brighton, England, Aarron immediately developed an aversion to the outside world and stayed in to play his Megadrive. Now he takes to twitter to voice words on having a beard and liking bacon. Follow him to see which game will be immortalised in a tattoo next.
