Bethesda Celebrates May Day with Skyrim Announcements
The first day of May is typically celebrated as the coming of Spring. In Bethesda’s case, Spring will be coming to the wintry mountains of Skyrim. Bethesda teased everyone a bit earlier today, saying that the first news of DLC for the epic dragon-shouting quest will appear tomorrow. Then they followed up by saying the Kinect update for all of your Fus-Ro-Dah’ing needs will be released tomorrow for the Xbox 360.
Specifics about what the DLC is or contains are currently unknown. Some gamers who were a bit more tech savvy dug into a little bit of code and found evidence of a race for snow elves and a crossbow-like weapon, but Bethesda has made no comment regarding the discovery thus far.
Marketing Exec for Bethesda, Pete Hines, has cautioned gamers (via Twitter) that tomorrow’s news will not be a full report detailing everything to come. Rather, it’ll only contain a “tidbit,” and “not a complete [download] of info.”
Kinect Skyrim capabilities will be released only in English at the moment. French, Italian, German, and Spanish versions are still being finished up in testing. No release date has been announced for these regions, but we’re sure it will be soon. If you’re going to be shouting at the dragons, be sure to check Bethesda’s list of commands for the Kinect.
