U.S. Gaming Charts: April 22nd – April 28th
New releases. We all love them, and we all want to try them. This past week, Activision’s Prototype 2 stole the top spots in the sales charts. It’s safe to say that we like blowing up, smashing, and generally destroying things. What can we say, it’s always the fun thing to do. Who likes sneaking around? Sorry Ezio, we still love you, but the master assassin has since taken a back seat since Revelations‘ fall into the Top 50.
The crew of the Normandy returned to save the galaxy from Reapers and moved up to the #3 spot just behind Prototype 2. Following suit, Modern Warfare 3 moved up, and poor Geralt and the Witchers fell from the top spot to #5.
Things were shaken up in the Top 20, as titles that haven’t seen the light of day since their debut weeks moved from the Top 100 up into the Top 20. The Normandy’s PlayStation counterpart moved from a paltry #50 spot up into the #13 spot. Batman also returned into the light, moving up from #52 into the #15 spot. Rounding out the Top 20 are everyone’s favorite Nintendo plumber, Xenoblade Chronicles, and Rockstar’s GTA IV.
