We Will Fight to the Death: Assassin’s Creed III World Premiere Gameplay Trailer Appears

Hold up, I’m still gathering my jaw off the floor. If this gameplay trailer truly is a demonstration of pre-alpha footage (translation: incredibly early stages of development) of what the new Anvil Next engine can do, then Assassin’s Creed III will be the top dog this coming fall release season, and it’s going to take the industry by storm.

Thanks to fans’ fervent support, Ubisoft dropped this trailer earlier today on their Facebook page. It highlights all the sweet and slick moves Connor can pull off in the midst of flying musket balls, and will make any Bond movie chase scene look like child’s play.

Some of the footage demonstrates what players will be able to do. Yes, that includes popping open windows, running through a building, and gracefully exiting out the other side through another window. Wild bear about to attack? No problem, just slip on by and pull out your bow and arrow.

Let’s not waste words anymore on this devilishly delicious demonstration of what Connor can do. Except it’s going to be even better when he comes out of the shadows on October 30th:

Yeah, you’re still picking your jaw up off the floor too, right?

Remember that changing the course of the Revolutionary War is not the aim here. Rather, Connor’s journey and mission against the Templars are the main story set against a backdrop of two nations at war. What will become of the assassins in the New World?

Watch history unfold on October 30th on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
