Panini and Spalding Team Up with NBA Baller Beats
When NBA Baller Beats was first announced, I struggled to figure out how this concept could be fashioned into a game. I mean, the game is about dribbling a basketball for hours on end. I mean, would it come with a basketball and more questions were proposed in my brain. But it is a real game and more importantly, we are getting some time with it at E3.
But today, we did get the news that Majesco has partnered up with two important companies that work with the NBA on a regular basis in both Panini America and Spalding. Spalding is going to package in an official sized, NGA regulation basketball with each copy of NBA Baller Beats. This will allow anyone that buys the game to get a basketball that works with NBA Baller Beats.
Panini America produces the NBA Hoops trading cards and has created unlockable cards in the game that you can earn by completing challenges in the game. The cards will feature NBA players performing some of their signature moves.
While I still have more questions than answers for NBA Baller Beats, it does seem that the NBA is fully behind the product, offering up their licensing, players and supporting brands to get in on the game.
NBA Baller Beats is coming from Majesco Entertainment exclusively for Kinect on Xbox 360 this summer.
