U.S. Gaming Charts: May 13th – May 19th

Don’t tell us you didn’t see this coming. Diablo III reigned supreme in its debut release week, followed up by Rockstar’s noir-action shooter Max Payne 3. In other news, the sun is hot.

Some mighty shifts occurred elsewhere within the sales charts. The battle for Westeros raged onto consoles as gamers took the war into their own hands with Game of Thrones, rounding out the Top 5. Last week’s crowned king Starhawk took a tumble to #7, with Prototype 2 not far behind, sliding to #8.

Modern Warfare 3 is starting to lose its luster, falling into the Top 20 as Mass Effect 3 bowed out gracefully, not to be seen anywhere in the charts. Skylanders moved up a couple of spots to the #12, as Nintendo’s Wii-centric dominance fell. Heavy hitters Zumba Fitness 2 and Just Dance 3 all fell from Top 10 spots into the Top 20.

Perhaps another shift in power for next week’s sales? We shall see.
