Newest Graphic Novel Trailer for Dead Space Intrigues and Teases

There’s been heavy speculation as to what Visceral’s next game will be. With E3 just around the corner, there’s been talk of a reveal by the developer and also publisher EA. Some leaks have suggested that Dead Space 3 will make an appearance, but will it? Dead Space nuts wish it so, and as such, we want it to happen. Really, we do.

In the meantime, Electronic Arts released a trailer today promoting their newest Dead Space graphic novel, introducing Earthgov Sergeant John Carver. Sitting on an icy planet, and defending a residential area from a necromorph invasion, we are left wondering if this is foreshadowing Dead Space 3. Is this the supposed setting of Tau Volantis? And is this the man that sent out the distress beacon that Isaac may eventually find his way to? Or is this the co-op buddy that we may see? We don’t know, but if Visceral does what they do best, we’ll just…oh damn, just take our money already and scare the living shit out of us, okay?

The trailer appeared on the official Dead Space website, with Unitology numbers counting down to EA’s pre-E3 conference on June 4th. “This is just the start of John Carver’s saga in the Dead Space Universe,” reads the criptic description for the trailer.

Please EA, please tell us this is leading towards Dead Space 3. Do we really have to wait? Alas we do, but in the meantime watch the trailer:
