E3 2012: Dawnguard DLC Releases for Xbox 360 on June 26th
Yeah, you read that right. With an announcement just last week, Bethesda released the official trailer for the Skyrim Dawnguard DLC. But it didn’t have a solid date yet.
Today, Bethesda’s Todd Howard let slide the release date of June 26th for Xbox owners during the E3 extravaganza while on air with GT.TV.
With close to 20 hours of additional content, there will be two new factions added to the ongoing civil war between Imperialists and Stormcloak supporters: the vampires, and the Dawnguard which hunts them. Also included in the DLC will be the patch to include mounted combat, new items and new weaponry. Of course, we all want that lovely crossbow, with arrows and shooting things medieval style to be all the rage this release season.
First hitting Xbox Live, Dawnguard will then make its way to the PlayStation 3 and PC platforms 30 days later. Bethesda is also promising more expansions to come for their massive title.
