EA’s Origin Redefines Hypocrisy with Steam-esque Sale
Just weeks after stating that Steam’s 75% off sales “cheapen IP” EA’s Origin is conducting its very own super sale, with Dragon Age: Origins down 87.5%. David DeMartini was the man responsible for the slur, and hence fingers of hypocrisy will be pointed squarely at his face. I’m sorry for the wealth of EA hate I’ve been spamming the site with, but they really need to shut up. At least until they have something worth talking about. I mean really, they’re asking for it when they make criticisms like that, knowing that at some point it’s going to bite them on the rear as it has done today.
Maybe it’s all some grand PR stunt to get us talking about it, in which case congratulations EA: more people know that some games are super cheap right now. Before I list the actual offers (because it would be unfair of me to slag them off without giving them the PR they’ve worked hard for) let me say this: you’ve lost what little respect I had for you and I’m not buying anything from Origin ever. I urge you, dear reader, to ignore their shiny trinkets and remember how hypocritical they are. Also remember how rubbish EA’s servers are: anyone who plays FIFA can attest to that.
On with the shiny trinkets then: the aforementioned offer on Dragon Age: Origins is joined by 75% discounts on Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Darksiders, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, and Spore. I feel dirty now…
