Activision closes down Radical Entertainment

Activision closes down Radical Entertainment

Radical Entertainment, the developer behind recent game Prototype 2, is unfortunately the latest victim to have its studio closed. News comes from Activision following evaluation of the future direction for the developer.

In the article posted up by GameInformer a spokesperson from the publisher mentioned that Prototype 2 “did not find a broad commercial audience” despite its investment into the title. The Vancouver based developer have now ceased production on any future titles and while the studio is being disbanded, some staff will be staying on in other roles at Activision to work on other projects it currently has in development.

Radical Entertainment made such games as Prototype, Scarface: The World is Yours, Crash of the Titans and many, many more. Our thoughts go out to all those affected by this closure and wish them all the best for the future.
