Lara Croft’s Reboot: “It’s Not Just One Game,” says Crystal Dynamics
While Lara Croft might be getting a makeover, it’s not going to be just one game. Crystal Dynamics has confirmed that there’s going to be more Tomb Raider games coming out after next year’s release.
“I have to be careful because I know exactly where she’s going,” said global brand director Karl Stewart in an interview with VideoGamer. “You have to look at the future, you have to look at where…it’s not just one game.
“At the end of this game we want her to be that strong female character that is willing to go and seek out mysteries and seek out tombs. She’s going to be going to plenty of tombs in this game, but we’re going to haev somebody who wants to go on that adventure, who wants to be the person that she now is. That’s the goal.”
No further details were given for the franchise’s future, as Stewart wanted to keep his job.
“I don’t want to say anymore on it because I’ll have the game director of the next game going, ‘What the fuck are you saying?’” said Stewart.
True Blood actor Camilla Luddington will be voicing Lara Croft in the upcoming reboot, due to release on March 5th, 2013.
