Remember Metal Gear Solid 4? It’s Getting Patched!
Well it’s not like you would have forgotten those hour long cutscenes, unless you went off and made some fried eggs of your own, but It is a bit late to the game isn’t it? Well better late than never, now you get to play Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots all over again and collect trophies thanks to a patch which will coincide with the Japanese August release of a budget version of the game. Thankfully they’ve been ever so kind to us and given us all the trophies that the new budget copies will have, so we can enjoy the positive reinforcement our parents and teachers never gave us.
I’ve never really understood the appeal of trophies and achievements, but it makes people happy, so I’ve nothing against it. If it’s an excuse to play a game I love again then all hail the patch. If I was expecting any news about this game it was a release of a special version of it (similar to Substance or Subsistence for MGS2 and 3 respectively) though that looks as improbable as improbable gets at this point. I must admit, I was hoping that I may one day get the chance to play MGS4 as Raiden, but I’ll just have to settle that obsession with Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance early next year.

This better not be some kind of late April’s Fools joke.
So, I guess it paid off that I never played through the game all these years it has sat on my shelf. I will get trophies when I finally get to it some year. Win!
Dear god man! That’s four years of neglect!
