Weekly Releases: Cold Stream DLC, Prototype 2 (PC), Wreckateer

Get ready to wreck and roll as the summer rolls on. This week brings a nice crop of new titles, but we’re still camping on the October and November spawn points for the big releases.

This week, Sergeant James Heller brings his cussing and bad attitude to PCs as computer gamers will finally get a chance to own Prototype 2. There won’t be a whole lot of “Who do that voodoo”ing around, but there’s sure to be a lot of angry people leaping off the rooftops of New York Zero, along with infected weird viruses and stuff like that.

Speaking of infections and viruses, Left 4 Dead 2‘s year-long wait for the official Cold Stream DLC release turns up floating downriver this week. With a revamp of all the classical Left 4 Dead maps with shinier weapons, bigger explosions, and more Special Infected, we’ll be in for a definite treat when we cross the river in an all new campaign as well.

Wreckateer touches down this week as well on XBLA, having players go out in search of destroying goblin-infested castles using the Xbox’s Kinect. It looked like some mind-numbing fun, but we’ll see if waving our arms around will really bring out the entertainment.
