Release Date for XCOM: Enemy Unknown
UK and US release dates have been announced for 2K Games’s upcoming reboot of a highly memorable strategy game. XCOM: Enemy Unknown will release on the 9th October in the States and the 12th in Europe for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. Along with the release date, details of the pre-order pack have been released, showing off some serious goodies for those early birds. The Elite Soldier Pack includes a retro XCOM soldier, better looking armour upgrades, and customisable armour colour too. PC gamers will also be treated to a special edition, which if you get your hands on it will grant you the glory of: an art book, poster, XCOM insignia patch, the soundtrack, wallpapers, a whole lot more.
XCOM: Enemy Unknown really impressed at E3 and I must say before their showing I thought this was going to be another case of 2K Games taking something that was amazing as a child and ruining it completely (*cough* Duke Nukem *cough**cough*). But thanks to the hard work and dedication of Firaxis Games, who’ve paid close attention to what made the original game, it looks like XCOM: Enemy Unknown is going to be a fantastic game made all the better by being planted into to the 21st century.
