Hitman Sniper Challenge Finally Comes to PC, With Prizes
While it is only a few months behind the release of the same package on consoles, the Hitman Sniper Challenge finally dropped on PC for those pre-ordering at GameStop starting today. GameStop is the only official chain taking pre-orders for Hitman Absolution in North America.
However, while the bonus is late to arrive, IO Interactive did confirm their strong support for the PC as a gaming platform and have set up a series of monthly contests for those that have the highest score in the Hitman Sniper Challenge over the next few months. Below is a chart of what you can win each month. The grand prize will go to the person with the top score in Hitman Sniper Challenge at the time of launch, which is an all expense paid trip to Copenhagen, Denmark to tour the Io Interactive Studios, meet with the developers and have their likeness put in the next Hitman game.
Here is the list of prizes for each month leading up to release:
August – Trip for four to the MLG Fall Championship in Dallas, TX, including travel and accommodation expenses and backstage VIP passes. (sponsored by GameStop)
September – Winner and a friend travel to San Diego to spend a day at a gun range learning to shoot weapons with an ex-Navy Seal sniper instructor (sponsored by military.com)
October – High-end Alienware gaming PC with accessories (sponsored by Machinima)
Hitman Absolution is set to arrive on November 20th, 2012 for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 from Square Enix and Io Interactive.
