Square Enix Japan Lends Support to Ouya, Final Fantasy III HD to be Downloadable at Launch

Ouya seems to be making quite the headlines these days, and renowned publisher Square Enix Japan is lending its support to the crowdfunded hackable console.

Earlier today, Square Enix announced that its Android remake of Final Fantasy III will be releasing in HD when the console launches in March 2013. In a statement, Square Enix also said that it will be providing “additional content” for Ouya in the future.

Ouya seems to be garnering some pretty big name support already. Earlier this month, former Call of Duty Robert Bowling and his studio Robotoki announced the first Ouya-exclusive title. OnLive also pledged its support in a much-publicized statement just last week as well.

Ouya is already turning into a force to be reckoned with. Will you be joining the welcoming wagon, or will you wait to see what else comes up for this console?
