Mass Effect 3 “Leviathan” DLC Announced

Mass Effect 3 “Leviathan” DLC Announced

Electronic Arts is dropping the Mass Effect bomb, and it contains that rumored “Leviathan” DLC. Up until now, all the Leviathan DLC talk was just a little bit of salt, but it’s now certain that the next DLC will indeed be a new single player campaign for Mass Effect 3. At its Summer Showcase, EA described the DLC as giving us more insight into the origins of the Reapers. You remember those floating insectoid aliens that could probably crush a Death Star with the wave of a leg, right?

In Leviathan, Shepard will be rescuing a scientist from inside an indoctrinated mining facility that was taken over by a Reaper defector named Leviathan. This particular Reaper made the decision to leave when he managed to kill another Reaper.

Leviathan expands upon the events of Mass Effect 3, with gripping and emotional storytelling, compelling new characters, powerful weapons, and unique upgrades,” reads the description from EA. “Players will be able to discover more about the origins of the Reapers as they race across the galaxy to unravel the mystery that surrounds the fabled Leviathan.”

The release date for the DLC is still to be determined. Are you excited to take control of Shepard once again?
