Prince of Persia Reboot Rumours Resurface

Prince of Persia Reboot Rumours Resurface

The Ubisoft forums unleashed all rumour hell on us this weekend, with a screenshot (which you can check out below) supposedly related to a Prince of Persia reboot. It’s taken from a project named “PoP Zero 2″, which sounds markedly similar to the last Prince of Persia reboot, set in the modern day, called “PoP Zero”.

You may recall a similarly bulky character from Ubisoft in a pre-E3 leaked trailer which, again, was supposed to be related to Prince of Persia. Obviously I have a lot of faith in Ubisoft. They make consistently enjoyable games, regardless of the genre, and while I very much enjoyed the beautifully cell shaded last reboot, despite the repetition, I can see how this might have more mileage. However, you may recall that Assassin’s Creed sparked out of a Prince of Persia project, so maybe we have an exciting new IP on the horizon. Can’t wait for them to clarify this one.

All About Dan Spicer ...

Dan does "What Dan Does", normally involving screwing over the premise of the game just to have fun. When he's not being obnoxious in video games he's doing the same when playing tabletop RPGs and Magic: The Gathering. He's currently studying philosophy in London, and trying to cook as many pancakes as humanly possible.
