“LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes” Hits Wii U This Spring [Release Window]

Sure, it came out last year, but LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes has now sold “more than 3.4 million units worldwide,” and the popular, family-friendly game descends upon an unsuspecting Wii U audience this spring.

Kind of a foggy release “date,” but that’s as specific as Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and TT Gamer are being on the subject of when you can enjoy the game on Nintendo’s still-within-the-Launch-Window console.

The important thing is, it’s coming. Another much-loved cross-platform game comes to Wii U, and it remains completely new to those who’ve never played it. (Think of it as a Release Window?)

And if you have played it, is there anything new to be found?

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes will take advantage of the innovative Wii Uâ„¢ GamePad controller. Players will navigate through Gotham City using an enhanced interactive map and select their favorite DC Comics characters to assemble a powerful team of heroes, all with the use of the controller’s touchscreen.

They can even enjoy the entire game experience on the GamePad in off-TV mode, or have a second player join in on the TV, so they can fight crime together without having to share a single screen.

Good ol’ GamePad. Love me some Off-TV Play!

Take control of the LEGO Caped Crusader and join forces with super-buddies to fight famous super-baddies. The award-winning LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is coming to takes Wii U owners to Gotham City.

Grab your cape and start stretching.
