GGS Scribbles | High on the (Hedge)hog [3/24/13]

GGS Scribbles | High on the (Hedge)hog [3/24/13]

This week, I reviewed Sonic Dash, a mobile endless runner starring iconic game mascot Sonic the Hedgehog.

Overall, it’s a very solid and enjoyable game. In fact, some have argued – not entirely tongue-in-cheek, either – that this simple mobile game is closer to The Sonic Game We’ve All Been Waiting For™ than anything Sega’s done with their one-time brightest gem in years.

It’s about Sonic running. Period.

That said, splashing a Sonic-style coat of paint on the endless runner genre isn’t exactly the most original thing anyone’s ever done. In fact, it’s hard not to be a bit skeptical when you look at the following list of mobile Sonic the Hedgeghog experiences coming soon to a gaming device near you…

Way past cool…

Goofy Game Scribbles is GGS Gamer’s weekly toon take on some happening in the video game industry. This scribble was written and illustrated by Tony Sadowski. And if you liked it, look for Sonic Scribbles, a new webcomic about video games starring Sonic the Hedgehog – coming soon!
