If you’re itching to find out whether or not your PC is at the right spec to run the latest expansion to Square Enix’s MMO Final Fantasy XIV, then you’re in for a treat.

A benchmark package has just been posted online and is ready for you to download. After some tweaking, you can run a few in-engine cutscenes to get an inkling on whether or not your PC is up to scratch.

Official system specs have not been posted as yet, however you do have the option of testing the original DirectX 9 engine as well as the new DirectX 11 implementation.

Here’s the link to check it out.

Also included is the ability to mess around with the Character Creator, which also gives you a first-hand opportunity to create a character in the new Au Ra race. Unlike the feline Miqo’te, the Au Ra are more of a lizard-like humanoid (complete with tail of course)

I had a wee go myself, this is what I came out with. What do you think?
