UK developer Rebellion revealed that it’s long running Sniper Elite franchise has surpassed 10 million units sold worldwide. Since first debuting way back in 2005, Sniper Elite has become renowned for its breathtaking tactical shooting and authentic, intense World War 2 setting gameplay.

Rebellion CEO and Co-founder Jason Kingsley revealed the milestone in a new video shown above.

Whether you’ve bought one or whether you’ve bought all of our Sniper Elite products, thank you very much for supporting indie development in the UK,” said Kingsley. “It’s been a pleasure to deliver great games for you and hopefully we’ll go on to do more in the future.

To elebrate this impressive milestone of 10 years and 10 million sales, Rebellion is planning a month of special celebratory content, including new videos, livestreams, giveaways and more, starting today with a live video ‘AMA’ with developers from the original game released a decade ago.

Sales will also be running across platforms throughout the month, including this week’s Steam sale which discounts the Sniper Elite Trilogy by a massive 81%. Meanwhile on the PlayStation Store in Europe, there are savings to be found on the PS4 editions of Sniper Elite 3 and Sniper Elite 3: Ultimate Edition.
