New characters and story details have been revealed for Tekken 7! Lee Chaolan will be returning, and the story mode will be several hours long.

Fan favourite Lee Chaolan is back, along with his secret alter ego Violet, competing to win the King of the Iron Fist Tournament. He was adopted by Heihachi Mishima, intended to be a rival for his son, Kazuya. As Kazuya’s adopted brother, Lee was given the same education and upbringing that any son of the Mishima clan would, but ended up being expelled from the Mishima Zaibatsu for unknown reasons. However, hope was not lost; he went on to found Violet Systems, a successful tech company that focuses on humanoid robots.

Shortly after, the world fell into conflict between the Mishima Zaibatsu (headed by Heihachi Mishima) and the G Corporation, secretly controlled by Kazuya Mishima. As the world decided which would be more beneficial to support, Lee had his own plans, fuelled by the hatred of his family. To covertly play out his revenge, he supported Lars Alexandersson, who had turned on the Mishima Zaibatsu – but this was only the beginning…

Tekken 7’s story mode is going to be several hours long, including side missions you unlock along the way. You’re not just playing as the Mishimas – you’ve got Claudio Serafino and his group of exorcists to look forward to.

The Archers of Sirius are a group of exorcists who have been keeping the world safe from the supernatural for aeons, unknown to the public. They were somehow found by the Mishima Zaibatsu and pressured into joining them, which they refused, but this hasn’t stopped the Mishimas – their approach attracted the attention of the de facto leader of the Archers of Sirius, Claudio Serafino. Wanting to find out why, he begins to investigate.

New screenshots have also been revealed, showing a very young Kazuya fighting his father, with more details to come when you actually play story mode. Lastly, a new stage for Claudio shows just how pretty Tekken 7 is. It’ll be out sometime in 2017.
