At today’s Microsoft E3 2017 Press conference, the popular PC battle royale game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has officially made its console debut! As a launch exclusive to the new Xbox One X, players will battle it out versus 100 other players till there is only one survivor!
The battle royale simulator, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, has confirmed that it will be appearing on the Xbox One’s Game Preview programme in late 2017, with a full release across the Xbox One platforms in 2018.
The trailer for the game shows it off in the 4K goodness that the Xbox One X will be able to deliver but it’s safe to say that the game is going to look fine regardless of which Xbox One model you decide to play on.
Since its release on PC, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has become a massive favourite for PC players and spectators alike. You’ll be a part of a 100 player arena, with the goal of being the last player alive meaning that any alliance you do decide to forge will always be a fragile one. You’ll spend your time collecting weapons, armour, and probably hiding somewhere hoping nobody spots you.
Chris Charla, director of the ID@Xbox program, couldn’t hide his excitement for the title’s announcement, saying: “We’ve been enthusiastic players and it’s been awesome to see its meteoric rise to popularity! We’re eager to collaborate with the team at Bluehole to bring PUBG to the Xbox One community, especially with console launch exclusivity.”
