During Sony’s E3 press conference, it was announced that Capcom will be bringing it’s wildly successful Monster Hunter franchise to Sony’s PS4 with unique content to be revealed at a later date. Additionally, following the reveal during Sony’s event, it was announced that the franchise will also be coming to PC and Xbox One.

Monster Hunter: World will introduce introduces a living, breathing ecosystem where players will hunt various beasts across the vast ever-changing terrain which dynamically transitions from day to night. Players will be able to either go at it solo or team up with up to 3 friends in a unique drop-in multiplayer system with players across the world. For the first time ever, players from the West will be able to play with players from Japan.

The home console debut of the Monster Hunter franchise will retain the skill based progression and crafting system which can be used to craft new weapons and armor thanks to loot collected from fallen monsters.

Monster Hunter: World is currently planned for a release on PS4 and Xbox One early 2018 with a PC version to follow at a later date.
