Welcome to another One Hour Tour! Well mostly 40 minutes to be exact. I missed last week because of life. Yeah, adulting is a pain in the ass.
Nevertheless, 99Vidas is a beat’em up title that was released last week for PS4/PS3/PS Vita (and it’s Cross Buy!) which has been heavily inspired from titles such as Final Fight, Streets of Rage among others. The proudly displays it’s 90s inpiration. While an overall fun game, the soundtrack can be a bit gringy and also a track or two sounded oddly familiar to some Streets of Rage track; or maybe that’s just me?
There’s a also A.I. character which is highly reminiscent of Tekken’s King. Oh and you can buy a Hadoken-like move to perform on enemies. I sure hope they won’t get sued.
Nevertheless, enjoy! If you like beat’em ups, I recommend you pick it up. It’s fun and can be quite challenging, but never unfair like some beat’em ups from the 80s and 90s.
