This October, the Science Museum will be opening up its doors once again for the gaming event, Power UP as it returns for its second year.
Held during the October half-term – from October 20 – 31, Power UP is a gaming event that both you and your kids can get your teeth into.
With video games, computers, and consoles, ranging from SNES and Sega Dreamcast to the Xbox One and PlayStation VR, the event will span the history and technology of the last four decades of gaming.
In addition, there will be gaming-themed learning activities for all ages, giving children some insight into the technology behind their favourite games.
Alternatively, if you’re looking for a more mature gaming environment (or perhaps just need a break from the little darlings), several adult sessions for over-18s will be available during the evenings on October 26 and 27.
Michelle Lockhart, Science Museum Group Commercial Director said “We’re delighted that we’re able to bring back Power UP to the Science Museum following a hugely successful run last year. The draw of video games really is universal and that’s reflected in what we’re offering our visitors. There is something on offer for everyone here – from parents who want to show their kids the games they grew up with, to gaming enthusiasts and retro fans who want to relive the classics.”
Power UP runs from October 20 – 31, 2017 and tickets are available now.
