SEGA has announced their plans to bring Shining Resonance Refrain this summer to the west. The game will be available for PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One and will set you back €49.99. This marks the first game in the franchise to be available in the West in 10 years.

Shining Resonance Refrain is a remastered version of formerly PS3 only Japan title Shining Resonance. This enhanced port will feature English and Japanese voiceovers along with all previously released DLC. This remaster will also feature a new Refrain Mode which will allow players to recruit the Imperial Princess Excella and Dragonslayer Jinas in their party.

Shining Resonance Refrain tells the story of sword-wielding Yuma and his friends as they go up against the Empire. Through combat, players can build up BPM (Battle Performance Mana) which in turns allows the party to perform a session through the B.A.N.D. system. Various beneficial effects will appear depending on the song performed.

Those who pre-order early on PS4, Nintendo Switch or Xbox One will be rewarded with a collectible metal slipcase, featuring character artwork of Excella, Sonia, and Kirika.

Expect SEGA to announce a more solid release date within the next few weeks.
