All this week there has been speculation and rumour abound as to what game Bethesda was looking to announce. With a small taster picture leaking onto the internet showing some anarchic looking fellows, it was fairly safe to assume the upcoming release would be a sequel to 2010s Rage.

Touted to release in 2019, Rage 2 is a collaboration between id Software (Wolfenstein) and Avalanche Studios (Mad Max), so the pedigree is there for a magnificent open-world shooter. Set in a post-apocalyptic future, the world is a wasteland after an asteroid crashed into the planet and devastated the Earth as we know it.

The hero of this adventure is Walker the last Ranger of Vineland, an individual who has access to a mass array of weapons, vehicles and even some mutant robotic-like powers. We get a look at some of the mayhem in the latest gameplay trailer released ahead of further announcements from Bethesda at E3.

If you would like to learn more about Rage 2, Bethesda will be releasing more information and possibly a new gameplay trailer on Sunday, June 10, at 6:30 pm Pacific time at E3.
