Only a few more sleeps until E3…

Jumping in for John this week, I’m here to cover the biggest news stories for the start of June, to tide you over until you can get your hands on those sweet, sweet E3 announcements and that Kingdom Hearts 3 release date. It looks like a pretty mixed bag today; we’ve got accidental leaks, new game announcements, delays, and, horror of horrors, a free weekend of Metal Gear Survive. So sit back, relax, and revel in the fact we’re getting those Persona dancing games after all.

Agent 47 sneaks his way to PC and consoles

So, the big announcement of the week; Hitman 2 will be coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One X, Xbox One, and PC on November 13, 2018.

With a hyper-realistic sandbox and gorgeous backdrops (you’ll fancy a trip to sunny Miami after this one), Agent 47 will be taking down the Shadow Client, and unraveling his militia once and for all, but when 47 learns the hidden truth about his past, nothing will ever be the same – or so they say.

There were a few more tidbits of info dropped, too – the Sniper Assassin Mode will be a new feature, allowing two players in co op to team up online and take down their targets, and that there will be a Standard, Gold, and Collector’s Edition – and those who preorder the latter two will get access to the game four days early, so grab your copy ASAP!

Steam has apparently leaked Just Cause 4

So if you check out the image above, it appears Steam has accidentally revealed Just Cause 4 on its offers page. While we know nothing about the game apart from the grim looking logo, we’ll be sure to keep you updated. Also, a big thank you to Polygon for the image and initial news!

And now for the bad news – Crackdown 3 has been delayed until 2019

As confirmed by Video Gamer, Crackdown 3 has suffered yet another delay, now launching in 2019. Originally supposed to launch in 2017 along with the Xbox One, it was moved to Spring 2018, and now it’s been pushed back to 2019. It will apparently be shown at E3 this year, though, so watch this space.

Game announcements – Persona and zombies and dancing, oh my…

It’s been a big week for companies dropping trailers on us and watching the Facebook comments freak out -  first up, Telltale have announced the release date of the final season of The Walking Dead Game.

So, there’s four important things to note here:

  • Release date is August 14, 2018
  • AJ actually exists this season
  • Clem doesn’t have the stupid haircut from the end of season 3
  • No sign of Javier Garcia.

Telltale, shut up and take my money already.

Then, in a move that truly surprised everyone, ATLUS announced that Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight, and Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight, are actually being localised for the West in early 2019!

Now I’m pretty damn stoked for this, considering rumours were flying about this being a Japanese only release, since May 25 came and went, but these two titles will be out for PS4 and PS Vita, though the latter will only be digitally. Both games with have dual audio, and English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish subtitles.

Tons of fan favourite songs have made the cuts, and new remixes from ATOLS, Lotus Juice, ☆Taku Takahashi (m-flo / block.fm), Jazztronik, and more are also on the cards. Plus, there’ll be social scenes and costumes to unlock, fulfilling that Persona 5 hype and that Persona 3 nostalgia.
