Goodbye sunshine

Well, summer was fun but for those of us who have PCs that can do more than open up a spreadsheet or run Solitaire, summer is over. Why? Well, that’s simple, the Steam Summer Sale has gone live, and there are a fair few titles in there that’ll have you happily throwing a few buckaroos at your monitor – that’s… that’s how you buy stuff on Steam, right?

The big hitters in the sale include discounts of up to 75% across the whole Fallout series, with Fallout 4’s GOTY edition going for £20, and Fallout 3 selling for £7.50.

Meanwhile, if you’re looking to jump into a new(ish) JRPG, then you’ll be happy to hear that Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom is also being sold at half price, at only £20 – our Jay thought it was a delightful adventure, so it’s well worth a shout if you’re looking.

And there’s something for that cool, indie-loving, introvert friend of yours as well, with Where the Water Tastes Like Wine going for under £10. The game, which received a bundle of critical acclaim, offers a slow-paced adventure that sees you sharing stories on the road and, y’know, trying to avoid destiny.

There’s plenty more on offer, with big titles, indie hits, and even a bit of hardware on sale. So, say goodbye to the sun, tidy up your computer desk, get some snacks in, and start adding to that ever-growing backlog of games that you’ll “get around to playing soon” – capitalism demands it.
