Blizzard’s MMO is still going strong.
Even if you’re not hopelessly addicted to World of Warcraft, you’ve probably heard of Battle for Azeroth. The seventh expansion of Blizzard’s huge MMO, was released last week on August 14 and today, Blizzard announced that more than 3.4 million units had sold worldwide, breaking previous day one sales records.
World of Warcraft’s latest expansion sees the Horde and the Alliance, clash once more. Recent storylines have taken the focus away from faction-fueled hostilities but Battle for Azeroth has proven to ignite player’s loyalties, especially in the events leading up the expansion’s release.
September 4 (September 5 for EU realms) will see the release of the first raid, Uldir as well as Mythic Keystone dungeons, similar to Diablo’s Greater Rifts, increasing in difficulty with each level. The PvP season will also commence on this date.
World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth is available now on PC.
